 has accumulated in downtown Salem. Together\, we can keep Salem beautiful 
 and litter-free!\n\nThe Salem Summer Sweep is scheduled for Sunday\, July 
 17. Volunteers should report to Riley Plaza at Margin Street at 10  a.m. 
 \n\nAll volunteers are urged to follow these safety guidelines:\n\n• Wear 
 rubber-lined gloves\, use proper technique when removing gloves\, and sani
 tize hands immediately upon completing your cleanup\n• Use a trash grabber
  tool (Keep Massachusetts Beautiful and Keep Salem Beautiful have tools to
  lend out)\n• Wear brightly colored clothing\, clean up in the direction o
 f oncoming traffic\, and avoid stepping into the street whenever possible
