X-WR-CALDESC:Cleaning Up The Mess: Disaster Debris Planning and Litter Clea
 nup Events\n\n\nWhether it's a hurricane\, tornado\, flood\, heavy winds\,
or snow\, all municipalities face the possibility of weather-related 'dis
asters' that leave us with excess debris that must be managed safely and e
fficiently. To provide some guidance on managing these events\, our Sept
ember meeting will include a presentation and discussion on Disaster Debri
s Planning\, featuring John Fischer\, MassDEP Branch Chief for Commercial
Waste Reduction Programs. \n \nWhen the 'mess' is not disaster-related\, b
ut rather it is ongoing and pervasive as in the case of litter\, this can
create blight in parts of every community. To tackle this issue\, we have
invited Neil Rhein from Keep Massachusetts Beautiful\, a leader in organi
zing Litter Clean-Up Events in the Commonwealth. \n\nPlease join us to lea
rn from these experts and to share experiences from your municipalities.\n
