X-WR-CALDESC:The Town of Sherborn's Select Board and its Department of Publ
 ic Works is supporting an ongoing community effort to pick up litter in Sh
 erborn during the month of April 2022 with the #SherbornPicksUp initiative
  and with it\, hopes to encourage positive change both locally and as part
  of the global community. \n\nA public art installation of Litter Letters 
 spelling out WHY in the center of town will again be a very prominent remi
 nder of the problem of litter and we hope will inspire dialogue about ways
  to prevent it.  We encourage residents to participate in this community a
 rt by adding some of their retrieved litter to the wire baskets- especiall
 y our younger ones!  Last year's Pine Hill students were great participant
 s in the project!\n\nWe are asking people to sign up to commit to pick up 
 litter sometime during April. Litter has accumulated on our roadsides\, ad
 jacent to sidewalks\, at the edges of recreational areas such as Fessenden
  and Laurel Field\, and spilled into our wetlands\, open spaces\, and natu
 re trails.  You can pick WHERE and WHEN you want to do this.\n\nIn additio
 n\, we are coordinating four weekend pickups on Saturday mornings from 8-1
 0\, with traffic safety support from our Police Department to focus on one
  main road area during each Saturday: Coolidge St\, Western Ave\, North Ma
 in Street from Coolidge to the Natick Line and Washington Street from Pine
  Hill to the South Natick Line. \n\nTogether we can make a difference in o
 ur town\, our natural envionment - and get some exercise and fresh air alo
 ng the way!\n\nSupporting information:\n\nSherborn is now an official chap
 ter of Keep Massachusetts Beautiful\n\nDS High School Community Service ho
