 ong the river. Most kayakers & boaters will start at 10am\, 100\nyds downs
 tream of the Frederick P Stearns Reservoir dam. There’s parking for a\nhan
 dful of cars at the aqueduct pump house (adjacent to 312 Winter St). It wi
 ll be a\nleisurely float with frequent stops to pick up trash along the 1.
 4 mile stretch of river to\nget to the final destination at 26 Auburn Stre
 et Extension.\n\nWhat to bring: You are responsible for bringing all your 
 own gear. All small boats are\nwelcome\, especially kayaks\, SUPs\, and ca
 noes\, though we don’t recommend\ninflatables because of the risk of punct
 ure when loading trash. Depending on the\nweather and water temperature\, 
 you may wish to use water shoes\, a bathing suit\,\nwaders\, or other gear
  to stay comfortable if you get out of your boat while gathering\ntrash. T
 here will likely be one or more sections on the river that require getting
  out of\nyour kayak or canoe to navigate over or around logs in the river.
  Personal flotation\ndevices (type 1) are recommended. Additional suggeste
 d gear includes: sunscreen\,\nbug spray\, work gloves\, trash picker/grabb
 er/reacher stick\, a water bottle\, snacks\, and\na dry bag on a tether or
  carabiner so you don’t lose any valuables in the river.\n\nTransportation
 : After unloading all the trash from boats at 1 pm\, boaters certainly hav
 e\nthe option of paddling back to their starting point. Alternatively\, vo
 lunteers will likely be\navailable to shuttle folks back to their vehicles
