Neil Rhein, Founder, Executive Director & Board Member (click here to read bio)
After the amount of litter in his hometown of Mansfield, MA, became too much for him to bear, Neil organized a committee of local volunteers to clean it up. The success of the first Great American Cleanup of Mansfield in 2008 led to the formation of Keep Mansfield Beautiful. In 2014, Neil founded Keep Massachusetts Beautiful to help bring the same successful programs to towns and cities across Massachusetts.
When he’s not working to advance the cause of Keep Massachusetts Beautiful, Neil operates Bullseye Communications, where he provides professional writing, editing, proofreading, and graphic design services to corporate clients. He also serves as a member of the Mansfield Select Board and is a member of the Massachusetts Municipal Association's Energy and Environment Policy Committee. Neil resides in Mansfield, MA.

Andy Bank, Board Member & Treasurer (click here to read bio)
Andy is a Managing Director and CPA at LABUR in Boston. Previously, he served as COO and CFO at Triton Technologies in Mansfield MA. Before that, Andy worked in accounting at International Forest Products. He currently heads up the finance and accounting functions at LABUR. Andy earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Business Management from Babson College. In addition to his Treasurer role at KMB, Andy has served on the Board of Directors of the Bridge Center since 1995. He resides in Mansfield with his wife.

Alison Beucler, Board Member & Clerk (click here to read bio)
Alison currently is the Sanitation and Hazardous Materials Manager for the Somerville Department of Public Works. Before working in Somerville, she worked for the City of Melrose as the Environmental Outreach Coordinator. Alison works to promote education, leadership, and action on recycling, composting, waste reduction, and more. She works collaboratively with community stakeholders to implement green initiatives, programs, and best practices. Alison is passionate about environmental education and inspiring others to take environmental action in their communities.

Meg Morris, Board Member (click here to read bio)
Meg has been involved in waste, recycling, and litter abatement for more than 30 years in the public, private and nonprofit sectors. She co-founded the Cape Cod Anti-Litter Coalition, a group dedicated to focusing on education that changes attitudes and behaviors and leads to a culture where littering is considered socially unacceptable. She continues to serve the Town of Brewster as its Chair of the Recycling Commission. In that position, she was able to champion the Pay as you Throw system which increases recycling and decreases trash. She is the co-organizer of Beautify Brewster, a town-wide yearly cleanup event.
Meg received the National Recycling Coalition’s Lifetime Achievement award in 2016 and the Lifetime Commitment Award in 2020 from MassRecycle, having previously received a similar award from the New York State Association for Reduction, Reuse & Recycling. She shares her home on Cape Cod with her husband and Ramblin’ Jack Elliott, her new best furry friend. She is enthusiastic about keeping Cape Cod and Massachusetts clean and plans to help bring the prevention of litter to the forefront.

Ainsley Smith, Board Member (click here to read bio)
Ainsley is a marine biologist who earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Ithaca College and a Master's of Environmental Management degree from Duke University. Born and raised in Massachusetts, she lived in multiple coastal states before landing on the North Shore several years ago.
Ainsley is the chair of the Gloucester Clean City Commission, where she successfully oversaw the passage of Gloucester's plastic bag and polystyrene ordinances, developed a citywide cigarette litter reduction plan, and coordinated environmental stewardship programming in local schools. She has firsthand experience working for nonprofit organizations, as well as state and federal government agencies, and she is eager to contribute her expertise to the statewide efforts of Keep Massachusetts Beautiful.

Monica Pennell, Board Member (click here to read bio)
Monica has been an avid outdoor sports enthusiast for most of her life. After years of competitive mountain bike racing, she is now focusing on slowing down and appreciating the natural beauty that New England is known for. However, taking a closer look has been difficult. In her very rural and quiet town, litter was clearly a problem. As a Principal Technical Support Engineer, problem-solving is her daily pursuit, so she turned her energy to solving the litter problem in her town of Ashby and founded Keep Ashby Beautiful. She recently relocated to Fitchburg, where she will continue to promote a clean community. Monica is also a mother of two young daughters, a wife, and an artist. Her inspiration for taking action is her family and a deep concern for the environment.

Sam Squailia, Board Member (click here to read bio)
Sam Squailia is the Mayor of Fitchburg. She served formerly as an at-large City Councilor in Fitchburg, where she grew up and lives with her spouse and daughter. She serves as Chairperson of Keep Fitchburg Beautiful, organizes Fitchburg City Wide Yard Sales, neighborhood and park cleanups, and leads environmental and recreational trails initiatives with the Fitchburg Greenway Committee.
Professionally, Sam is an Architectural Building Engineer and Project Manager with a LEED AP in Building Design and Construction. Sam is an active proponent of water conservation, sustainability, litter cleanup, and corporate environmental responsibility and she believes that we should all work toward leaving our world better than how we found it.

Lauren Saunders, Board Member (click here to read bio)
Lauren is a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones Investments in Gardner, MA. In addition to her career in finance, Lauren is a Registered Environmental Health Specialist/Registered Sanitarian with a background in public health and solid waste management and reduction. Previously, she was the Director of Public Health for the City of Gardner. In this role, Lauren helped develop a city-wide litter ordinance and supported Keep Gardner Beautiful with their litter abatement efforts. Lauren lives in Gardner with her family, enjoys hiking with her pups, watching live music, and traveling.

Fred Cullen, Board Member (click here to read bio)
Fred Cullen is CEO of Green Team Junk Removal, a waste removal company that focuses on sustainability and reuse. The company recycles, reuses, or donates up to 80% of what it collects. Previously, Fred worked for the Massachusetts Department of Corrections and related agencies. Fred is passionate about keeping items that can be reused out of the waste steam and helping individuals and families in need by providing donated furniture and other essential items. Fred earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Mt. Ida College. He lives in Holliston with his wife, two daughters, two dogs, and four cats.

Greg Peschel, Board Member (click here to read bio)
Greg is a Market Manager at WIN Waste Innovations in their Northern New England territory. His primary focus in this role is managing the flow of materials through their eight transfer stations in the region, while also managing relationships with the haulers responsible for transportation of the various materials they handle. He joined WIN Waste through the acquisition of New England Recycling Company, where his career in the waste and recycling management industry began. After several years of development, Greg began to research opportunities to utilize his knowledge and connections within the industry to better serve the environment beyond the scope of his regular duties. He is eager to work closely with the entire board to advance Keep Massachusetts Beautiful's mission.

Matt Stutz, Board Member, (click here to read bio)
Matt Stutz brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the KMB board and is committed to driving continued success and growth across the state. As an executive at Adobe Systems, Matt has a background in both large enterprises and startups, with a strong track record of leadership, innovation, and collaboration across diverse teams.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Matt has a large family that loves to spend most of their time outside, hiking and playing sports. Matt knows that his family is lucky to live in such a great community and would like to help make access to clean public areas a reality for every family. This was Matt’s inspiration for joining the KMB Board.
Matt holds an undergraduate business degree from Boston College. He is excited about the opportunity to contribute his skills and insights to the KMB Board and ensure its continued success. -
Ken Moy, Board Member, (Click here to read bio)
Ken works with the international tax services group at the accounting firm PwC, where puts his extensive experience working to achieve complex and nuanced goals both domestically and abroad to work.
When not at work, Ken and his family enjoy living near the California coast and getting back east as frequently as possible. Ken's family brought him to San Diego, but during his childhood he spent every summer on Cape Cod and lived in Boston for nearly a decade. Maintaining and preserving the communities that were so enjoyable to Ken as a young child is his primary reason for joining the KMB board, especially so his children can enjoy the Commonwealth as much as he did.
Ken graduated from the University of Notre Dame where he studied the two most practical majors he could find, history and political science. He then attended law school at Fordham Law in New York City and earned his Master's in law focused on legal taxation at Boston University Law School.
