Palmers Island Cleanup (New Bedford)
A New Bedford First----On Palmer Island
Introducing Clean Coast Coalition:
Featuring a remote-controlled aqua-drone which conducts water quality testing, records and transmits live footage, and filters debris out of the water to be separated into four categories; trash, compostables, plastics, and other recyclables.
The goal is to improve local water-based ecosystems through the use of the remote controlled PixieDrone device to not only reduce the amount of harmful debris in local waters, but also to educate the local community about the dangers of litter and marine debris in their environment.
Many volunteers are needed to make Palmers Island the picturesque island nature intended it to be.
