Keep Walpole Beautiful Town-wide Litter Cleanup
On Saturday, October 3rd, Walpole will join over 100 Massachusetts communities by partnering with Keep Massachusetts Beautiful to participate in the Great Massachusetts Cleanup. Our 3rd Annual town-wide litter cleanup will bring Walpole residents and businesses together to transform our streets and public spaces through a volunteer-led litter cleanup and beautification day.
Let's work together to clean up Walpole one neighborhood at a time. Take a few minutes or a few hours to make an impact on your own street or any area of your choice. Walking the dog or taking a hike? Bring a bag and collect litter along the way! Going for a run? Walk the last mile and fill a trash bag! Working in Walpole? Spend a few minutes picking up the parking lot! It's just that simple to make a difference.
Due to COVID-19 we will not have a supply table, event t-shirts or a volunteer appreciation event. We hope to resume those activities next year. This year we are asking that you use your own trash bags and wear gloves to clean up locations in and around your neighborhoods. If you need a location to clean, we will be sharing some areas needing help on our Facebook page. As usual, please take photos of your handiwork and share them with us online! We are always excited to see who collects the most trash, the oddest item, and the largest item!
