Come join your family, friends, and neighbors to give Pittsfield's Burbank Park a thorough fall cleanup! This cleanup event offers volunteers the opportunity to get some fresh air while cleaning up the litter that has accumulated in Burbank Park over the summer months. Together, we can keep Pittsfield beautiful and litter-free!

The Pittsfield Burbank Park Cleanup is scheduled for Saturday, October 8. Volunteers should report to Burbank Park at 250 Lakeway Drive starting at 9 a.m. and by no later than 10 a.m.

All volunteers are urged to follow these safety guidelines:

• Wear rubber-lined gloves, use proper technique when removing gloves, and sanitize hands immediately upon completing your cleanup
• Use a trash grabber tool (Keep Massachusetts Beautiful has tools to lend out)
• Wear brightly colored clothing, clean up in the direction of oncoming traffic, and avoid stepping into the street whenever possible
