Liberty Mutual Serves The Community

On May 11, a team of 15 volunteers from Liberty Mutual's Back Bay headquarters labored for nearly four hours to clean up a highly littered area of Boston.

The team split up into three groups that each took different routes from Berkeley Street to the West 4th Street Bridge in South Boston, cleaning up litter along the way.

Upon arrival in South Boston, the real work began and took more than two hours to complete. The area is frequented by homeless people, and as a result, there was a vast array of little that included empty liquor containers, discarded clothing, and hypodermic needles. This was no ordinary litter cleanup, but instead a symptom of a wider societal problem related to addiction and homelessness.

Through it all, the team from Liberty Mutual worked hard to transform this area into a more beautiful landscape.

Thank you to the team from Liberty Mutual and Liberty Serves!
